Once again, and as predicted by anyone that sees the Democrats for what they really are, the anti-Trump witch hunt du jour has engulfed a man named Roger Stone.

Stone has been one of the most unique characters in the political arena for the last fifty years. He was part of the movement to elect Richard Nixon; he even has a large tattoo of Nixon on his back. To call Roger Stone eccentric would be hugely understating it.

Roger has worked directly or indirectly with many Republican campaigns up until working for Donald Trump in 2016. His methods have been widely condemned by many on both sides of the aisle. DOJ prosecutors want to send Roger to prison for allegedly lying to Congress and witness tampering. In November, he was found guilty on seven related charges.

Trump Supporters are Fair Game

Roger’s real “crime” was that he helped Donald Trump beat Hillary Clinton in a truly historic upset. As to the witness tampering, Roger says it was a joke, and the person involved said he felt no pressure and didn’t even press charges.

As for allegedly lying to Congress, is this a punishable crime? To Judge Amy Berman Jackson, it apparently is. If this is going to be against the law, and I myself agree that it should be, someone needs to explain why John Brennan, the former head of the CIA under the Obama administration, could lie to Congress in televised testimony. Maybe Mr. Brennan should be subject to arrest. While they’re at it, authorities might as well go round up the ex-Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper, for the same reason.

I don’t know how many times I’ve seen the video of Clapper being asked by Senator Ron Wyden the following question: “Does the NSA collect any type of data at all on millions or hundreds of millions of Americans?”

Clapper looked bewildered, scratched his head, and said, “No sir, not wittingly.” That was a bald-faced lie, and there was someone watching the broadcast that knew better. His name is Edward Snowden.

Unequal Justice for Republicans

Snowden knew the NSA was spying on American citizens, denying them of their Fourth Amendment rights, and decided to blow the whistle on Clapper. But Snowden was not treated as well as the Democrat’s whistleblower in the Ukraine nonsense. For doing the right thing, Snowden, who faces U.S. criminal charges, now resides in Russia under Putin’s protection.

Today, the Justice Department announced that it will not prosecute Andrew McCabe, the ex-Deputy Director of the FBI. McCabe was fired for lying to FBI investigators who were looking into illegal leaks during the Hillary Clinton email investigation.

It seems that if you’re a Democrat, however, you’re safe from prosecution, but if you’re a Republican you go to jail; just ask General Michael Flynn or George Papadopoulos.

So what’s the real story here? Why are federal prosecutors recommending seven to nine years behind bars for Roger Stone, which is more time than the standard sentence calls for and more severe than those who commit violent crimes ?

Here’s why.

The Angry Democrats Strike Back

Two of the prosecutors that resigned over this issue both worked for Robert Mueller on their 22-month, illegal investigation into the Trump campaign. These “Angry Democrats” as labeled by President Trump worked diligently to try and make it look like the POTUS colluded with Russia. They used every tool at their disposal to get people to lie and say Trump was guilty.

We now know that the FISA application to spy on Carter Page allowed the FBI to spy on anyone Page was talking to, plus anyone that that person was talking to, a practice known as “Two Deep.” When anybody caught up this web said they had no knowledge of collusion, they were threatened with endless interrogations and worse.

Gen. Flynn awaits sentencing, although his lawyer is trying to withdraw his guilty plea and get the case dismissed because the investigation was tainted by prosecutorial misconduct. The Mueller team was embarrassed that with all of their power and months of endless investigations, they came up with nothing.

When an FBI SWAT team arrested Stone at 6 a.m, armed with automatic rifles, somehow CNN was there to record the whole thing. CNN claims say it was just good journalism but I think we know better; they were tipped off by the FBI.

Stone Could Face the Equivalent of Life Imprisonment

By sentencing Roger Stone at age 67 to a long prison term, anti-Trump prosecutors will be able to claim victory and insist that that the Russia investigation was legitimate. They can say “we found our collusion” even though Stone’s charges have nothing to do with Russia. It’s my opinion that the reason these lawyers resigned is that they know when the John Durham investigation comes out, a lot of people are going to have some serious explaining to do to stay out of jail.

We know that an FBI investigator who also worked for Mueller falsified a document on the Carter Page application to omit the fact he was working with the CIA at the time. This is a serious felony. If this man gets off without prosecution or acting as a cooperating witness, how can we ever trust our Justice Department and the FBI in the future?

Fortunately, Attorney General William Barr is on the job. He has assigned John Durham, a well known and respected federal prosecutor, to look into the origins of the Russia probe, much to the displeasure of the Democrats. It started as an inquiry investigation but has since grown into a criminal probe, which gives Durham the power to convene a grand jury and call witnesses.

The Deep State Under Scrutiny

Democrats are terrified of what Durham might find in his probe. Recently Durham announced he would be looking into the role James Clapper and John Brennan played in the investigation. That’s why the Democrats are calling for Barr to resign over his recommendation for a lighter sentence for Roger Stone. They are also demanding another investigation into Trump’s tweet about the excessive proposed prison sentence even though Barr was conferring with the prosecutors a week before Trump sent the tweet.

This is just the Democrats (and their Obama-holdover accomplices in the Deep State) doing what they do, i.e., non-stop investigation that goes nowhere. Instead of passing legislation on behalf of the American public, they have chosen to put all their eggs in one basket, that being the removal of Donald Trump by any means necessary. They’ve chosen this obsessive course of action because they know that they have no chance of beating them him in the 2020 election.

The whole thing is very sad. Maybe after losing again, although by a much larger margin, they will sit down and try to figure out why they can’t win an election. They probably won’t, however, and we’ll possibly see another Republican in the White House in 2025. Wouldn’t that be nice?

Making matters worse, one of the jurors in the Roger Stone case lied to the judge by saying she wasn’t following the case or the Mueller probe. After her Twitter account surfaced, it turns out she was a previous Democrat candidate for Congress and was closely following the case. This will possibly give Stone an automatic retrial if the feds even decide to try the case again. Once again, this is purely political payback, which ironically something that Trump haters accuse the president of doing all the time.
