Taking up the Cape and Cowl: Batwoman
It appears that an awakening is happening. People are beginning to wake up to the nonsense that is identity politics. It seems as though the Social Justice Wussy Left is not convincing anyone regarding their message. From the financially hemorrhaging Star Wars franchise of Disney, to comedians sticking their middle fingers to cancel culture from the “woke” crowd, to Democrats losing their black voter base due to Candace Farmer and the Black Leadership Summit, and now it seems that TV is also losing.
CNN is not at all winning the numbers game, MSNBC hosts are devoid of any likes from the public. These days TV shows, both new and old, are shoving identity politics down the public’s throat and facing audience backlash, not to mention the new show “Batwoman” from the CW is not looking too great, according to the public.
The red-headed lesbian Batwoman now prowls the streets to protect Gotham City wearing a modified, feminized version of the Batsuit.
The story is that Batman’s been missing for three years and Gotham is being watched over by a security group known as “The Crows” run by Bruce Wayne’s cousin, Jacob Kane. Upon discovering a new gang who captured a female cop, the Crows begin having trouble finding her. Jacob’s daughter Kate gets word and wants to help because the captured policewoman is her academy crush. Kate Kane comes in with a “flair for social justice” and is not afraid of speaking her mind. She stumbles upon her cousin’s hidden secret and takes up the mantle of the Caped Crusader with a twist, in that it becomes hers. The red-headed lesbian Batwoman now prowls the streets to protect Gotham City wearing a modified, feminized version of the Batsuit.
From the first trailer of this show, we see a slender woman with a boy-cut hairstyle, riding on a motorcycle, signifying she’s some kind of a badass. The next few shots of the trailer shows she clearly has a mind of her own and is not afraid to speak it out. We also catch a clear glimpse that she is a lesbian as she kisses on another female in the show’s initial trailer.
The trailer is basically the pilot. A lesbian lover gone missing by a new crime syndicate and the current force protecting Gotham can’t do the job, so in comes the protagonist of the story, who is in fact, another Mary Sue. She then discovers the batcave, dons the bat-suit which was perfect, but not perfect enough because it doesn’t fit a woman. All of this is carried by a song that also inserts over and over the phrase, “I’m a Woman”, which we can only hypothesize that the song is titled, I’m a Woman. Ruby Rose was hired to play the role of the new “Batwoman,” set in the Arrowverse on the CW Network which includes shows like, “The Flash,” “Arrow,” and “Supergirl.”
All of these shows have had decent runnings in their first few seasons, but over time, each show began to display a lackluster rating, losing its audience, all the while injecting a social justice message into each season. “Supergirl” even had an episode that gave an anti-gun message. With “Batwoman,” viewers are beginning to speak out more and more and it isn’t limited to just men, as women are just as vocal about their disdain for this show.
Authorized Critics Out of Touch
If the Chapelle Netflix special, “Nanette,” the latest Joker, and now “Batwoman” has taught us anything, it’s that the authorized “critics” of Rotten Tomatoes are ignorant, stupid, clearly alt-Left, and flagrantly out of touch. Audience scores for the Chapelle Netflix special, “Sticks and Stones” got a 99 percent rating in over 38 thousand reviews, while the critic score gave it a 35 percent out of 17 reviews. The new Joker movie got a 90 percent audience rating while critics gave it a 69 percent. Hannah Gadby’s “Nanette” received a 100 percent critics rating, while audience viewers gave it a whopping 23 percent.
“Nanette,” should you be reminded, was the Netflix special labeled comedy, where Hannah Gadsby literally explains to the audience that she would not be telling jokes anymore. She then spent the hour of her special preaching about how bad she has it, how she’s afraid of being in a room full of men, how she was raped, and that joking about it demeans and belittles her experience. That special received a 100% Rotten Tomato positive rating from critics! 100%! The general public gave it 23%.
You would think that the new CW series “Batwoman” would be somewhat balanced. Nope! You would be wrong! The critics gave the show, based on the first pilot episode of the entire series, a score on Rotten Tomatoes of 72 percent. The audience review? 9 percent! Let that sink in for just a moment. A show centered entirely around a basic “Mary Sue,” who is a lesbian, looking for her lesbian lover, dons a modified Batman suit tailored for a woman, and fights the forces of evil to protect Gotham, all the while using the search for her girlfriend as motivation, in the first episode. This received a critic score of 72 percent, while the general public voted this at 9 percent. Are these critics out of touch? We’ll let you, the reader be the judge.
Rotten Tomatoes is very unironic about this and aren’t hiding the fact that this information is public and anyone can go and do the search themselves. If you don’t believe us about the “Batwoman” rating, here you go! It only further shows the out-of-touch critics voted this to be at 72 percent, while the audience, whose opinion should mean the most, rated the show at 9 percent.
So What Does This Mean?
You can be sure that SJW activists will see that 9 percent and create the point that the only reason the audience didn’t like this show was “because of the opinions of straight white males, who are incels, or are homophobic because she’s a red-headed lesbian super heroine, and because, vagina! That’s been the argument of anyone who remotely expresses disdain for such content. Just listen to how these activists described the male fans of the new Star Wars.
What this show indicates is the very real breakdown of society, and that the media machine and social justice warrior alt-Left continue to play identity politics at the expense of the general public. They don’t really care, just so long as the intersectional message is displayed.
Star Wars fanatics all agree that episodes 8 and 9 respectively are the worst, and have killed the franchise, and in turn killed their childhoods! But these alt-Left activists declared Rey and the new Star Wars to be triumphant and worthy of praise, and anyone who disagrees is a chauvinistic pig, needing to be castrated because Rey is a strong woman (forget the fact that every critic deemed her a Mary Sue considering she bested the Jedi Master Luke Skywalker himself in episode 9 with no real training)! What this show indicates is the very real breakdown of society, and that the media machine and social justice warrior alt-Left continue to play identity politics at the expense of the general public. They don’t really care, just so long as the intersectional message is displayed.
Just like the Joker movie, where the media and the Left drummed up a fear-mongering threat, wasted police resources, and told everyone they hated the movie, they are now bolstering up a show like “Batwoman,” even though the audience clearly had disdain for it based on the audience reviews. It is quite clear the Left is not on the side of the public, no matter how anyone wants to look at it. It doesn’t matter if you are male, Asian, black, female, straight, gay, trans, Indian, British, Latino, or whatever you identify as, if you don’t line up with the Left’s narrative, you are socially and publically expendable, and they will go through great lengths to ensure you don’t have a voice in the matter. And with “Batwoman,” it is clear that the Left is not at all in touch with the public.
