‘Trump of the Tropics’
Jair Bolsonaro won the Brazil’s presidency on Sunday as an agent of radical change. A seven term congressman, Bolsonaro is well-known for his lack of tact and “anti-PC” rhetoric. He’s brash, opinionated and unabashedly critical of Brazil’s current government. Many compare him to Trump. Let’s take a look at the life, message and future presidency of Bolsonaro.
Who Is Jair Bolsonaro?
Born March 21, 1955, Jair Bolsonaro is a politician and former military officer. He served as a member of the chamber of Deputies representing Rio De Janeiro since 1991. Called neo-fascist and “scarier than Donald Trump” by major media outlets, some Brazilians fear him as an extreme far-Right authoritarian.
He has been criticized much like Donald Trump, President of the United States, for being misogynist, homophobic and racist. The leftist outcry, much like the United States, has been loud, brutal and widely pure conjecture by his opponents. Bolsonaro’s opponents fear the loss of control over what has been widely considered a failed government by Brazilians.
A Brief Look at Bolsonaro’s Policies
For a candidate whom the people seem to love, with a quick internet search you’ll find hate, vitriol and outright lies targeted at Bolsonaro. The powers-that-be in Brazil have tried to paint Bolsonaro as a Nazi and Fascist. This vitriol led to his September 6th stabbing. His injuries prohibited him from campaigning while receiving treatment. While in recovery he took to social media, portraying himself as the “hardliner” who will restore safety to the streets of Brazil. He advocated for less restrictive gun laws so that Brazilians could better protect themselves. He was quoted on Rede TV, October 11th, saying “Every honest citizen, man or woman, if they want to have a weapon in their homes – depending on certain criteria – should be able to have one.“
He opposed the legislation of abortion and won the support of Evangelicals. He takes a nationalistic approach to border security, trade agreements and more. He was noted to have said he would withdraw from the 2015 Paris Agreement on climate change should he win the presidency. Bolsonaro’s other policies include moving the Brazil Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and closing the Palestinian Embassy since, according to him, it isn’t country. Bolsonaro’s alignment with the Workers Party earned him the allegiance of many middle-class Brazilians. These working class Brazilians blame the elites for turning their economic success into ruin after Michel Temer’s parliamentary coup.
Is Bolsonaro a Result of MAGA on the World Stage?
Masses of people on the world stage find tremendous courage, strength and spirit in Donald Trump. Since the election of Donald Trump, the nations of the world are following suit. They’re taking back their homelands from the globalists who seek to conquer, divide and ultimately control everything.
Had a very good conversation with the newly elected President of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, who won his race by a substantial margin. We agreed that Brazil and the United States will work closely together on Trade, Military and everything else! Excellent call, wished him congrats!

Trump and his “Art of the Deal” brought South and North Korea together for the first time in many years to embrace their shared histories and pledge peace for all their citizens. Hungary, Poland and Italy have elected officials who are pushing back against the un-elected bureaucracies of the EU. Iranians had the courage to rise up against the Mullahs who have kept them subjugated since the late seventies.
Donald Trump is a true catalyst. He has given the people of the world confidence that they too can be free. More changes on the world stage will come. The elite globalist have lost yet another round with the election of Jair Bolsonaro. Time will tell how many more countries will follow suit. Until then we watch the world stage as these events unfold. The election of Jair Bolsonaro will hopefully produce the change the Brazilian people need. Too long have the globalist fought against the people. The United States, North Korea, Italy, Hungary, Poland and now Brazil unite as a conglomerate of MAGA hope and the results will now move exponentially against, what Trump calls, the “false song of globalism.”
