The New Face of #WalkAway?
Is Dr. Karlyn Borysenko the new face of #WalkAway? The good doctor went viral with an article she wrote in Medium, where she talks about her walk away experience which began at a Trump rally. In her article, Karlyn says the reason she found herself at a Trump rally, and therefore realized Democrats were not ready for 2020 was due to knitting. Yes, you read that right. She went to a Trump rally because of something she witnessed in her knitting circles. From her article:
“Knitting stars on Instagram were bullied and mobbed by hundreds of people for seemingly innocuous offenses. One man got mobbed so badly that he had a nervous breakdown and was admitted to the hospital on suicide watch. Many things were not right about the hatred, and witnessing the vitriol coming from those I had aligned myself with politically was a massive wake-up call.”
Karlyn joined Bob and Eric in their Weekly Wrap-Up to talk about it, even mentioning running into someone in Whole Foods who was wearing a MAGA hat and having a visceral reaction to it.
