In An Upcoming Book He Doubles Down on His Obama Criticisms
The book, Doug Wead’s “Inside Trump’s White House: The Real Story of His Presidency,” was just published. He was being asked about the 2016 campaign. “What they did was treasonous, OK? It was treasonous,” he told the author. This comes as four reports critical of the Obama Administration have come out. Attorney General William Barr and US Attorney John Durham will be opening a criminal investigation.
Earlier this year, AG Barr looked into the likelihood that any spying on the Trump Campaign was going on in 2016. Even then, he believed spying did occur. This goes beyond Watergate, and basically being overzealous and unsanctioned campaign workers breaking into a DNC hotel room to bug a phone while looking for dirt, which is bad enough. People went to prison for that. Now we find government agencies were allegedly monitoring a political campaign’s communications, at the President’s request.
“I have never ever said this, but truth is, they got caught spying. They were spying,” said Trump who then added, “Obama.”

The fabricated Russian collusion investigation was dis-proven (despite over 2 years and $35 million spent by Robert Mueller). The latest piece of impeachment hope that Leftists are clinging to is a phone call between President Trump and the president of Ukraine. They were sure it was evidence of Trump demanding assistance from him, threatening aid dollars. Trump immediately made the transcript public, showing no such activities.
It was so disheartening to the Democrats that Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA) decided to make his own version up and performed it on TV, live in the Senate. Later he said it was just a parody. This has never happened in the Senate, and it isn’t amateur night at the comedy club! He may be censured for that immature piece of theater.
Nancy Pelosi made statements about it as if the parody was factual. Either she was trying to convince low-information voters, or she was herself fooled. Either way she should retire. She is approaching 80 and diminishing quickly. A better argument for term limits, you will not find.
Treason By Any Other Name
In all US history, there have only been 40 cases of capital treason tried. It has recently gained popularity again for both parties to show how angry they are over the acts of the opposition. Despite the death penalty for treason being abolished in 1990, most people assume it’s still in place. One cannot help but wonder if those responsible for the change to a lighter punishment weren’t hedging their bets concerning their own behaviors.
At least there are places guilty parties can be incarcerated. Guantanamo Bay, Cuba comes to mind, as does Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Any uncomfortable federal prison will do as long as the sentences are long. They should live-stream the cells and other rooms for watching 24/7. It would make for the best reality television, ever.
