Pedophile billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, long thought to have dodged harsh penalties for sexually assaulting children, has been arrested this evening on charges of child sex trafficking. It has been rumored for years that Epstein avoided similar charges by ratting out his co-pedo’s at Bear Stearns. The plea deal was criticized far and wide, but then U.S. Attorney Alexander Acosta defended it with this statement: “As part of any plea, it is not unusual to have an indictment that says these are all the places we can go, yet at the end of the day, based on the evidence, professionals within a prosecutor’s office decide that a plea that guarantees that someone goes to jail, that guarantees that someone register [as a sex offender] generally, and that guarantees other outcomes is a good thing.”
Now he himself is getting his just deserts. The New York Times reports: “Two people with knowledge of the charges said on Saturday night that Mr. Epstein had been arrested in the New York area and was in federal custody.” Epstein had avoided charges for more than ten years. He goes before a judge on Monday. Business Insider tells us this: “These new charges allege that Epstein systematically molested dozens of underage girls by paying them for “massages” that rapidly devolved into sexual abuse, according to the reports.” Stay tuned for more information as it comes out.
