Melanie Discusses the Loss of Her Daughter Melanie Kortlang to an Illegal Alien
Melanie Kortlang’s daughter Amy Kortlang was killed October 9, 2006 at age 22 by a Mexican illegal who was deported multiple times. He hit two other cars before hitting Amy head on, pushing her car back over 200 feet – his 5th DUI conviction.
“Please your honor, I’m begging on this court — put this monster away forever and don’t let him take some other mother’s baby from her.” – Melanie Kortlang.
The only answers I get is that [the illegal criminal] just fell through the cracks. Just kept coming back. And that’s it.
Can you imagine? Picture yourself standing before a judge and actually having to plead with him to take someone off the streets who should never have been there in the first place. That is exactly what Melanie Kortlang was forced by circumstance to do. In October of 2006, Prosecutors say Rafael Ramirez Perez was under the influence when he collided head-on with Amy Kortlang on Highway 67.
This is yet another example of why open borders should never be considered. This precious mother lost her baby in a completely preventable incident. One which would never have happened to her in the first place had he encountered a wall during his illegal journey into America. Most of us can’t even stand the thought of such anguish as to have someone so intimately connected with us being ripped out of our lives.
Yet illegals force this kind of anguish on a daily basis in America. Rampant crime at the hands of illegal alien gangs such as MS13 has taken many babies from the arms of their parents. If one listens to the rhetoric of the Left, we shouldn’t rip families apart. As long as they’re illegal families amenable to voting democrat.
Democrat freshman Representative Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (AOC) has this to say: ‘We are standing on native land. And Latino people are descendants of native people. And we cannot be told, and criminalized, simply because for our identity or our status. Period.’ I wonder if AOC has the utter audacity to stand before Melanie Kortlang and utter that gibberish to her face.
