The Social Policing of Silicon Valley

Social media is becoming a staple in our culture. The most frightening thing that happens is the unpersoning of an individual. It can happen to anyone, just like that. Unpersoning defined; “a person regarded as nonexistent and having no rights; a person whose existence is systematically ignored especially for ideological or political reasons.”

Unpersoning eventually leads to deplatforming. We are all well aware that Twitter and YouTube are notorious for censoring Conservatives, or anything that is not in complete alignment with their wicked agenda. The most notable account that Twitter deleted is Milo Yiannopouloswhile iTunes and YouTube removed Alex Jones. That is just the beginning.

First, There was Facebook

When Facebook began, it was solely for college students to connect globally, as it was first on the social media scene. As Myspace was getting old at that time, and Twitter was not even a thing, Facebook was the only choice we had. Instagram was not on the radar, and YouTube had nothing more than cat videos and snippets of movie trailers.

As soon as Facebook blew up to connect more people, it became a massive phenomenon. Everyone had to have a Facebook account. Even grandparents of boomers had accounts. We used it for connecting friends and family or linking to former elementary, middle and high school acquaintances so that we could peek into their lives. We saw high school kids that were once popular had dropped off the grid and become a deadbeat, or the nerdy geek we all knew is now running a Fortune 500 company. Back then, it was simpler times of liking a post, commenting on a picture or sharing.

Twitter Popped Up

With so many people signing on to become Facebook users, Twitter burst on the scene adding quick action to the conversation. And since Twitter’s explosion into the social media arena, more and more alternatives were created. YouTube, in the meantime, continued its significant role in how information is disseminated.

YouTube finds itself now competing with legacy media and catching up with the times. During this catch-up, a curious thing began to develop. People, according to some studies, show that bullying tactics became increasingly prevalent, depression numbers started to soar, and social skills of young people began to diminish. Now, more and more, some of the CEOs began to show forth a side that is not so American, much less democratic.

Zuck and Dorsey – Enemy of the Conservative

As Mark Zuckerburg, Jack Dorsey, and other online tech giants grew exponentially; an ugly face emerged that began affecting the lives of we the people. The old saying goes, “you can ignore politics, but politics won’t ignore you.” Giant tech companies all collecting personal data 24/7, infringing on our privacy, even bots like Google Home and Alexa hears what you say then tailor items for you to purchase and suggest them while you are shopping. The politics of these giant tech elitists has now surfaced.

YouTube Fascist Demonetization

A new crowdfunding online content creation hub known as Patreon emerged once YouTube started demonetizing videos and removing advertisers from a select group of channel types. Patreon became the new epicenter for crowdfunded content, where a creator puts forth their own content wholly funded by people known as ‘Patrons.’ These patrons give money either per each creation or per month to their chosen creator.

For every tier met on Patreon, based on how the content creator delineates their supporters, you can also earn prizes: these range from shoutouts in a YouTube video or a Skype call. More extravagant content creators have flown out their prominent money patrons for a private meet and greet. The prizes for the patrons vary per content creator.

TOS Applicable to User Only

Patreon is a very cool concept, just make sure that you are following the Terms of Service. Otherwise, you will be on the radar of the Trust and Safety board. But it is apparent that even the Patreon Trust and Safety Board’s method of finding questionable content does not meet their own TOS standards. Once again, content creators and users are expected to follow TOS, but the company is not. Liberal hypocrisy once more rearing its head.

Silicon Valley is nothing but a technocratic fascistic state living under the veil of privatized commercialism.

Recently, a well-known YouTuber called Sargon of Akkad was deplatformed entirely off of Patreon permanently. Sargon of Akkad was actually one of the initial content creators when Patreon first started up about four years ago. Patreons reason for banning Sargon (AKA: Carl Benjamin), was due to ‘hate speech.’ Patreon stated that they found him using a word that holds negative racial connotations and this was the only reason for them completely shutting down his account.

On the surface, ‘hate speech’ is a violation of their TOS on Patreons platform. Patreon clearly states in their TOS. “if hate speech is on Patreon, it will be cause for indefinite suspension without any warning.”

Dig and You Shall Find

Minor digging revealed this is not the case, and deplatforming Sargon was unwarranted. Numerous red flags were found during this dig on Patreon. Sargon was invited to debate racist Neo-Nazis on YouTube about ten months ago, he accepted the bait. In a fit of deep irony, Sargon called the Neo-Nazis “white n*****s,” during the debate.

He used their own racist points/words against them to counterpoint their ideas and make them look foolhardy on their respective channel. Take note, this debate was on YouTube, not Patreon. This was a video interview done ten months ago on a totally different platform. No hate speech was used other than a pejorative word used back at the rightly deserving people of that YouTube channel. Patreon stated that it was that episode that afforded the channel wipe.

Facts Prove Censorship

If we look at the facts laid out regarding Patreons banning of Sargon, we see that their TOS, their Trust and Safety Board, and their actions are in fact violations of their own terms. Thus making them less of a platform and more of a fascistic organization, like the rest. Hence our need for new alternatives.

Sargon was on YouTube, not Patreon when he did the interview. He used the n-word towards white people for their racist behavior. Sargon did not use the n-word towards black people, which is what black people use to capitalize on to govern the race narrative.

Trust and Safety Board Violates Own Rules

A ten month old video on YouTube is grounds for account termination on Patreon? It seems one of Patreons Trust and Safety Board members either did not read their own TOS, or they ignore it and make up their own rules. It is obvious that Patreon had it out for Sargon of Akkad. They actively went to search for anything to get rid of his account, or far-Left activists brought it to her attention and she decided to use it regardless of Patreons own TOS.

The reason for the use of the pronoun ‘her’ is because it was a female by the name of Sidney who corresponded with Benjamin and provided him with the news of his account wipe.

Patreon’s Terms of Service

According to Patreon: “Patreon connects creators to their patrons all over the world. We are a global platform built on promoting creativity, which makes us a very inclusive group. Therefore, there is no room on Patreon for hate speech such as calling for violence, exclusion or segregation. Hate speech includes serious attacks, or even negative generalizations, of people based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability or serious medical conditions. When reviewing an account for a potential hate speech violation, we consider some of the following questions:

Is there a call for violence against a protected class?

Does the creator glorify a group that is known to support ideologies that would be classified as hate speech under this policy?

Is the creator using racial slurs or negative depictions of a protected class?

This list is not exhaustive, but we want to be transparent about how we work in the grey areas between speech and action. There can be a fine line between political comments and hate speech. If you come across what you believe to be hate speech on Patreon, please take the time to report it.”

The Left Hates Facts and Logic

From Patreon’s hate speech terms, it must be on Patreon primarily for it to be noted.  Sargon’s interview was on YouTube, not Patreon. Yet, here is Carl Benjamin, without financial support as Patreon was either notified of his use of the n-word on another platform or Sidney went looking to get rid of Sargon completely. Did Sidney dig for reasons to remove Carl from the platform indefinitely? If so why? Did she find the one thing that might come off as controversial for Patreon, and decided then to kick him off? Patreon Rules Subjective by Design – Matt Christiansen

What this video reveals, is a startling revelation and proof of what we have suspected about Silicon Valley. As the saying goes, “now the crap gets real,” and the reputation of Silicon Valley is cemented.

In Matt Christiansen’s breakdown, he states, “Patreon is NOT a free-speech platform, Patreon is not a free market and rules on Patreon are subjective by design.” These standards are all explicitly from the mouth of the Jacqueline Hart. Here is Matt’s transcript. Take time to read the transcript, it is a huge concern. This is exactly what we feared from Big Tech, and now it is our dreaded reality.

Patrons Pull the Plug

With Sargon’s ban, the rising number of content creators fearing for their own safety have begun pulling the plug on their own Patreon accounts. Matt Christianson notes, it is not a matter of how, but simply a matter of time when the T&S board will not adhere to their own standards and simply target channels that they don’t like because of their fabricated reasons.

Many content creators are experiencing a plunge in subscribers, plus the dip in financial support as Patreon has been the sole financial backbone of so many of these content creators. Due to the response of Jack Conte’s T&S team, the pull out game from Patreon has been large and only just begun. Patreon is bleeding from this, so many are reacting and crying out for something else. Take note, the third largest Patreon content creator, “New Atheist Intellectual dark web progenitor Sam Harris,” himself pulled the plug on his Patreon account in direct protest to Patreons behavior towards Sargon.

Social Media Alternatives

By proxy, many are finding alternatives to the social media giants. Many have signed on with MMinds, SubscribeStar, Vimeo and Bitchute. There are others, now that the competition desire is strong amongst content creators who advocate for free speech.  

We are now at the point that Dave Rubin and Jordan Peterson are working diligently to provide a Patreon alternative that will allow these banned content creators not only the space needed to afford free speech, but also an alternative for financial freedom, and the freedom to produce their craft.

Technocratic Fascistas

No longer can we ignore the daily evidence, Silicon Valley is nothing but a technocratic fascistic state living under the veil of privatized commercialism. Many people are now advocating that Facebook, Twitter, Google and all of them in between are in fact not platforms but public utilities and thus should have some government regulations.  

Internet Bill of Rights

Others are advocating for an Internet Bill of Rights. An #IBOR would give users and creators the right to hold these tech giants accountable if their company decides to violate the digital bill of rights. A company could then face fines or even be shut down because of such violations.

QFD Ban – Silent Censorship Warfare

Twitter is complicit in violating their own TOS hundreds of times, if not more by QFD shadowbanning, with no consequences to date. Patreon has ignored their own standards and banned content creators because they want to. It is quite clear, the real fascists have shown themselves in the form of Mark Zuckerberg, Jack Dorsey, Jack Conte and Sundar Pichai (and by proxy Susan Wojcicki). This Pentagon of evil as it seems, will need healthy competition in order for them to recognize that we the people will not stand for their undemocratic and ideologically biased practices.

We need more competition, and viable alternatives in order to set them straight. Otherwise, freedoms and even livelihoods will continue to be infringed upon. That is the most unAmerican thing a company can do.
