Obama Gets Torched For Horribly Tone-Deaf Tweet

Barack Obama’s Uvalde Massacre Tweet Might Be The Most Insensitive Tweet Ever

Former President Barack Obama has long been known as the “Divider-in-Chief,” and his harsh statements in the aftermath of the horrifying events in Uvalde, Texas, remind us why he earned the nickname

On Wednesday, the day after the attack, Obama tweeted:

“As we grieve the children of Uvalde today, we should take time to recognize that two years have passed since the murder of George Floyd under the knee of a police officer. His killing stays with us all to this day, especially those who loved him.”

It would be hard to find a more tone-deaf and insensitive comment after the slaughter of nineteen innocent children and two teachers. Additional victims remain in critical condition.

Responses

The thread of responses to Obama’s tweet included thousands calling him out for his words.

One response read, “No sir, it doesn’t. The media made a martyr out of a man who didn’t deserve it. Those babies were truly innocent, he wasn’t. Let’s not put them in the same sentence of a man who’s untimely death was used to unleash a summer’s worth of chaos in the name of faux social justice.”

Another commenter simply said, “What in God’s name is wrong with you?”
