House Republicans Turn The Tables On Pelosi
A leading Republican accused House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of delaying a GOP inquiry into the Capitol’s security weaknesses.
Rodney Davis, the ranking member of the House Administration Committee, wrote to Pelosi, urging that House offices under her authority stop hindering the Republicans’ investigation.
“As Speaker of the House, you are the most senior elected official in the House of Representatives, and therefore ultimately responsible for all House operations, not just those of your party,” he wrote.
“If you are truly interested in working with Republicans to improve the Capitol security posture, I demand that you direct all House officers immediately to stop obstructing our oversight.”
Rep. Jim Jordan has requested an investigation into Pelosi’s role in the events of January 6, 2021.
