In a last ditch effort to pull out a win, Steve Sweeney still has not conceded to his low budget competitor Edward Durr. Now suddenly officials in one county have “discovered” 12,000 ballots.

Sweeney has refused to concede the race to Durr, who was widely predicted to win by election observers. Sweeney was trailing Durr by over 2,000 votes until claiming that 12,000 more votes had been discovered.

The remarkable narrative of Edward Durr, a trucker who ran an unlikely winning campaign against long-time Democratic Senate President Steve Sweeney for only $153, has now been heightened by the addition of new drama. Durr spent $66.64 of the $153 on food and drinks for his staff at Dunkin Donuts, and $86.67 on flyers and business cards.

Edward Durr, 58, is a truck driver for Raymour & Flanigan, a furniture store. According to the Associated Press, Durr won the race by a margin of 52 percent to 48 percent on Thursday with all of Sweeney’s precincts reported. Sweeney stated on Thursday that he will not concede until all of the votes had been counted. Sweeney’s seat was last defended in 2017, when nearly $20 million was spent in one of the most costly legislative contests in US history.

In the blue stronghold, Edward Durr could defeat New Jersey Senate President Steve Sweeney, who has been in the Senate since 2002 and is the state’s longest-serving legislative leader. The incumbent Senate President of New Jersey is up to his old filthy Democrat antics again:

“The results from Tuesday’s election continue to come in; for instance, there were 12,000 ballots recently found in one county,” Sweeney said in a statement on Monday. “While I am currently trailing in the race, we want to make sure every vote is counted. Our voters deserve that, and we will wait for the final results.”
