Two Interviews Removed Purportedly for Covid Misinformation

Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) has received a seven day suspension from YouTube for allegedly promoting “COVID misinformation”. Senator Paul, who is also a doctor, was interviewed on Newsmax. His discussion addressed the scientifically verifiable facts on masks and their known failure to prevent transmission of the virus. After censoring the Newsmax video, YouTube removed the video in which the senator provided support for his comments regarding masks, escoriating YouTube for the censorship.

According to the Gateway Pundit, the senator noted that YouTube was banning speech given on the floor of the U.S. Senate, speech that is constitutionally protected. Apparently, Big Tech considers themselves greater than the laws of the land. The senator said “YouTube now thinks they are smart enough and godly enough that they can oversee speech, even constitutionally protected speech.”

Senator Paul stated, “Saying cloth masks work, when they don’t, actually risks lives, as someone may choose to care for a loved one with COVID while only wearing a cloth mask. This is not only bad advice but also potentially deadly misinformation.”

The senator said he considered it a badge of honor to be banned by “left-wing cretins at YouTube”. His video can be viewed at Liberty Tree.
