Vote for me or “you ain’t black”

Normally, many a Conservative would look at the proponents for the existence of white privilege and the people who spout that kind of rhetoric and call it folly. It is pretty clear such a privilege does exist that comes from being a white liberal. Today’s bombshell racist remarks came out of the mouth of Democratic Presidential nominee and former Vice President Joe Biden.

During an Instagram Live stream Friday, May 22, 2020, radio morning show host Charlamagne ‘tha God of The Breakfast Club interviewed Joe Biden on a myriad of topics. Biden’s racist remarks came at the end of the interview during a discussion of who would be his running mate. Biden commented, “If you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.” This caught a firestorm on social media as many Black Conservatives are calling out the presidential nominee for blatant racism.

The shocking part is Charlamagne did not object or push back on the statement. It it unclear whether the radio show host just did not hear Biden’s racist remarks, was unable to quickly process what Biden said, or had no issue with the statement. It is reported later in the day, Biden apologized to a group of Black business leaders saying, ““I should not have been so cavalier.”

The Trump campaign had their own response…a shirt to buy!
