Police are working to identify a trio of suspects who fatally shot a man in Tennessee in broad daylight over the weekend, according to reports.

The shocking incident unfolded just before 2 p.m. on Sunday in Memphis.

Authorities were called to the scene of a shooting where a male victim was found unresponsive.

Surveillance footage released by the Memphis Police Department shows three black males sprinting down a sidewalk toward the victim, who cannot be seen.

Two of the suspects appear to be carrying semi-automatic rifles while the third may have been wielding a pistol with an extended mag.

The suspects stop and open fire as a car passes by mere feet.

None of the shooters have been apprehended or identified, according to the latest available updates.

The victim was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
