Authorities in Texas are seeking a suspect who robbed an elderly man in broad daylight while he worked on his car. 

The shocking incident unfolded in Houston on May 28, but police just released information and surveillance footage this week. 

In the video, the victim can be seen tinkering under the hood of a vehicle in the parking lot of an apartment complex just before 5 p.m.

The suspect appears to stroll past the victim on a nearby sidewalk before checking his surroundings and doubling back. 

He rapidly approaches the older man from behind and forcibly reaches into his pockets. 

The suspect ultimately stole the victim’s wallet after a brief struggle and fled the scene on a bicycle. 

Houston Police described the suspect as a “Black male, 20 to 25 years old, 5’6 to 5’8.”

He remains on the loose, according to the latest available updates.
