The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York charged Biden whistleblower Dr. Gal Luft for operating as an unregistered foreign agent and other crimes related to the Biden family’s influence peddling with China and other nations.

Dr. Luft had “gone missing” in May shortly after coming forward to the House Oversight Committee alleging Joe and Hunter Biden accepted payments from China-linked firms.

Luft, a U.S.-Israeli citizen, reemerged from an undisclosed location last week to reveal how he came forward to the federal government about the Biden family’s corruption but was ignored.

U.S. Attorney for the SDNY Damian Williams announced the charges on Monday claiming Luft evaded FARA (Foreign Agents Registration Act) registration while working to advance Chinese Communist Party interests on U.S. soil.

Williams also charged Luft with arms trafficking and violating sanctions against Iran and making false statements to federal agents.

“As alleged, Gal Luft, a dual U.S.-Israeli citizen and co-head of a Maryland think tank, engaged in multiple, serious criminal schemes,” Williams said in a statement. “He subverted foreign agent registration laws in the United States to seek to promote Chinese policies by acting through a former high-ranking U.S. Government official; he acted as a broker in deals for dangerous weapons and Iranian oil; and he told multiple lies about his crimes to law enforcement.  As the charges unsealed today reflect, our Office will continue to work vigorously with our law enforcement partners to detect and hold accountable those who surreptitiously attempt to perpetrate malign foreign influence campaigns here in the United States.”

The charges include two counts of making false statements, conspiracy to violate the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, three counts of conspiracy to violate the Arms Export Control Act, and conspiracy to violate the Foreign Agents Registration Act, which add up to a maximum of 100 years in prison.

The Federalist CEO Sean Davis noted the timing of the government bringing charges against Luft, who was well-known to federal agencies for years, only after he went public with his allegations against the Biden Family.

Meanwhile, Hunter Biden was, as detailed by his notorious laptop and other revelations brought by House Republicans, allegedly involved in the same sort of activities that resulted in these criminal charges for Luft.

But Hunter last month brokered a sweetheart plea bargain with the Department of Justice where he’d only plead guilty to minor tax charges and lying on a gun registration form and serve no jail time.

This is the two-tiered justice system in action.
