A Patriotic Return to Xfinity Racing for Williams

The Veterans for Trump group have joined with Josh Williams and the Number 92 DGM Racing Chevrolet Team to launch a decorated car which will race at NASCAR. 

Tonight at the Darlington Raceway’s Toyota 200 and at the Charlotte Motor Speedway later in the month, Williams’ Camaro will be sporting new patriotic colors honoring our heroes both past and present. Primary sponsors are Texas-based Open for Business and Chasing Freedom. Both will be prominently displayed on Williams’ Number 92 Chevrolet Camaro. 

Williams is looking forward to carrying the new colors. He said “It’s always exciting to welcome a new partner to our program, but to have the opportunity to represent such an extraordinary groups of people and brands, while honoring our active military members, veterans and their respective families […] that’s very special to our team.” Williams continues by adding, “this Open for Business / Chasing Freedom race is exactly what we all need to see and believe in these times, and I’m humbled and thankful for the opportunity to drive this race car for all who served, both past and present.” 

Multiple Sponsors Demonstrating Appreciation for our Veterans

Open for Business Again is part of Required Team Gear and their goal is to spread optimism, celebrate a cautious return to some normalcy. They will serve as the primary sponsor of Williams’ No. 92 in both upcoming races. Frank Kratch, creator of the Open for Business Again campaign, commented that “the opportunity to be an active part of the return of NASCAR, especially their “Salute to Service” campaign, was something we knew we had to be a part of.” Phil C. Hecker, co-founder of Chasing Freedom, Williams’ other primary sponsor, says “Chasing Freedom supports candidates who are veterans and who support veterans. Together We Will Keep America Great.”

Other sponsors for Williams’ ride is Vets for Trump and We Who Served. NRN is also partnering with Josh Williams. The Vets for Trump organization mission is to work “in conjunction with veteran service organizations, nonprofits, corporate sponsors and government agencies to provide support and advocacy for Veterans at national and local levels.” The We Who Served is a “Veteran service organization with emphasis on transitioning veterans from service to a civilian life.”

The Return to Racing Starts Today 6pm ET

NASCAR Xfinity series racing returns to action for its debut race following the Coronavirus related break. Williams will bring his most successful four-race stretch to open this season. Williams, from Port Charlotte, Fla, earned two top-15 finishes and best 10th place at Auto Club Speedway in southern California, before the Coronavirus halted racing. He is just two spots out of playoff contention entering Darlington tonight. Eyeing the playoffs this season, Williams says “Our group is a strong team and I feel like we’ve shown what we are capable of.”

The Toyota 200 in Darlington will get the green flag 6pm ET tonight, with live coverage on FS1 Motor Racing Network and channel 90 on Sirius NASCAR Radio. Join in on cheering Josh Williams all the way to the finish line and his continued rise in the racing world.
