The body of sex offender and billionaire Jeffrey Epstein tells a story of homicide despite an official ruling that he killed himself, pioneering forensic pathologist Dr. Michael Baden revealed. Baden, a former New York City medical examiner who has worked on high-profile cases, was hired by Epstein’s brother and had observed the autopsy. 

The new findings are more consistent with homicidal strangulation than suicidal hanging. He noted that 66 year old Epstein had two fractures on the left and right side of his larynx, specifically the Adam’s apple, and the left hyoid bone above it. In his 50 years of medical practice, he’d never seen where those types of injuries were sustained from a suicidal hanging. 

There were also hemorrhages in Epstein’s eyes that were also common with homicidal strangulation and uncommon in suicidal hangings.
