Mueller Report Marks End of Russia Hoax
A select group of Republicans stood by President Trump since the beginning of what many believe was an attempt to undo the results of the 2016 presidential election. Stated by Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) and tweeted by reporter Nick Short:
Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) stated:
Questions Need Answering
On February 19, 2018, during an interview with Brian Kilmeade, Freedom Caucus co-founder Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) continued calling on ex-FBI Deputy Director McCabe and Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein to answer questions under oath to Congress on their efforts to thwart the President.
Dems Bent on Finding Russian Collusion
On Friday, March 22, 2019, the Mueller Report was finished and delivered to Attorney General (AG) William Barr’s office for review. Barr wrote in a letter to Congress, “I am reviewing the report and anticipate that I may be in a position to advise you of the Special Counsel’s principle conclusion as soon as this weekend.” While AG Barr was reviewing the Mueller Report, the Democrats were still bent on finding Trump/Russia collusion and couldn’t wait for the conclusion.
Senate Minority Leader (D-NY) Chuck Schumer tweeted on March 23rd:
Schumer seemed intent on blocking any response from President Trump prior to the AG’s conclusion.
Pelosi Rushes Release
House Majority Leader (D-CA) Nancy Pelosi issued this statement on Twitter:
Pelosi now wants the “full report” released even if it revealed sources and methods. Republican Mark Meadows responded on Twitter:
The Democrats obviously anticipated the Mueller Report wouldn’t provide results they wanted to impeach President Trump. They were correct and knew it all along.
AG Barr Found No Collusion and No Obstruction
The AG issued the principal conclusion of the Mueller Report in a four-page letter sent to Congress on Sunday, March 24, 2019. On the topic of Russian interference Barr wrote, “the Special Counsel’s investigation did not find that the Trump campaign or anyone associated with it conspired or coordinated with Russia in its efforts to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election.” There was no collusion by President Trump or anyone associated with the campaign.
Obstruction Where There is No Crime?
On the topic of obstruction of justice, Barr wrote, “Deputy Attorney Rod Rosenstein and I have concluded that the evidence developed during the Special Counsel’s investigation is not sufficient to establish that the President committed an obstruction-of-justice offense.” Essentially, there was no collusion. In addition, the AG found there was no obstruction of justice by President Trump.
On the 24th Press Secretary Sanders tweeted:
By the Numbers
The Meadows tweet says it all:
President Trump: A Complete Exoneration!
From Florida President Trump tweeted:
The president gave a brief response before returning to Washington, D.C. and getting on Air Force One. Pres. Trump’s first on-camera remarks following Attorney General Barr’s letter on Mueller report:
President Trump said from the beginning that there was no collusion with the Russians to win the election.
The Mueller Report didn’t produce any evidence to help the Democrats impeach President Trump. Democrats still refuse to give up the Russian Hoax. Mary Bruce of ABC News asked Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) today whether he accepts the special counsel’s conclusion that there was no collusion.
Schiff has said from the beginning he saw evidence to prove President Trump colluded with the Russians. We all know now he lied. Republicans are calling for Schiff to resign for lying and leaking information.
The Hue and Cry
Immediately after AG Barr issued his conclusion, Democrats started calling for him to testify before Congress. Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) said, “the president has not been exonerated by the Special Counsel. Yet, the AG has decided not to go further or apparently to share those findings with the public.”
“We cannot simply rely on what may be a hasty partisan interpretation of the facts.” The conclusion Barr made isn’t what Democrats wanted. This is why they have attacked his character and professionalism.
Time to Move Forward
Republicans like Rep. Matt Gaetz from Florida are hopeful things will move forward instead of more ridiculous investigations which are planned by the Democrats.
A Day of reckoning
Like Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), many American’s want the people who started this Russian Hoax to be held accountable. Senator Graham seems intent on making them pay up.
White House Press Secretary Sanders had this to say:
Republicans must now hold the perpetrators responsible for the Russian Hoax accountable. As Americans, it is our responsibility to hold their feet to the fire so they do their job. We know the Democrats will not stop this “Russian Delusion Hoax” because they can’t win on accomplishments or policies. In fact, the Democrats have now doubled down claiming Mueller didn’t exonerate President Trump on the “obstruction theory.”
It isn’t Mueller’s job to exonerate. It is the AG’s job. The AG did just that. More importantly, he decided it according to the law. The nonsense will continue for as long as the Democrats can get away with it.
Be grateful we have a president who was tough enough to make it through this ordeal. One who has accomplished more than any other president in modern history.
