An elderly woman was targeted by a purse-snatcher who dragged her across pavement during a violent robbery outside a bank in California this week, according to reports.
The disturbing attack unfolded at around 11:15 am in Hacienda Heights in the Los Angeles suburbs.
The victim, a 75-year-old woman, had just exited a Bank of America and was walking across the parking lot when a male suspect ran up and grabbed her handbag, Fox 11 reports.
When the woman refused to let go, the thief knocked her over and dragged her along the ground.
Footage shot by a witness was provided to former Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva, who posted the video on social media.
“This is scary folks. A robbery yesterday at the B of A parking lot on Azusa Ave in Hacienda Heights, interrupted by good samaritans!” Villanueva wrote.
Villanueva tagged Hilda Solis and Janice Hanh, who both serve on the L.A. County Board of Supervisors, and asked, “all the social justice warriors, how’s that ‘reimagining’ working out?”
The suspect reportedly fled the scene with the victim’s purse.
The extent of her injuries are unclear.
An investigation is ongoing.
Infowars has been reporting on the surge of crime in many U.S. cities.
It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted – by present facts – of incompetence and irresponsibility.
