A young Mexican woman on holiday in France was gang-raped by five suspects in a park near the Eiffel Tower this week, according to reports.
The horrifying incident unfolded during the overnight hours between Wednesday and Thursday in the heart of the French capital.
The 27-year-old victim was in the Champ-de-Mars at around 1 a.m. when she was attacked by a group of sex predators.
“She was drunk. It’s also part of the modus operandi of these predators,” a police source told Le Parisien.
“They spot vulnerable young women, tourists on the go who don’t speak the language, a little lost. Often, they make them drink.”
A pair of suspects was subsequently apprehended and authorities are seeking their collaborators.
“Two individuals were arrested as part of an ongoing investigation carried out by the 3rd DPJ [3rd district of the judicial police] on the count of gang rape. The two custody measures have been extended,” the Paris prosecutor’s office announced.
Multiple sex attacks have taken place in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower already this year.
A Brazilian tourist was raped and her sister sexually assaulted by two men in February, and an attempted rape of a German woman was foiled when a Good Samaritan intervened.
Infowars frequently reports on crimes in France, many of which are committed by suspects of foreign origin or background.
We must not allow our emotions to blind us from logic and reason.
