A man driving a pickup truck was savagely beaten by a mob of ‘young people’ riding bicycles in Los Angeles last week, according to reports.

The disturbing incident unfolded at around 4 p.m. on Thursday afternoon in the Jewelry District, located downtown in the City of Angels.

Video footage called “shocking” by local police was shared on social media.

Young men can be seen using bicycles to smash the windows of a white pickup truck parked along the curb as other males surround the victim and launch a brutal assault.

At one point, the victim can be seen lying on the ground as at least five assailants kick and punch him repeatedly.

As a crowd of bystanders and local shopkeepers gather, some manage to provide enough protection for the man to escape back to his vehicle.

However, attackers manage to open the door and continue beating him and battering his truck.

Eventually, the man speeds away to safety.

“It was horrible,” a witness told KTLA. “When I got to the window, I saw probably about six or seven kids on bicycles. There was a white pickup truck parked out front and I saw somebody smashing in the window with his bike.”

A local jeweler told the outlet the bike riders had been wreaking havoc in the streets, weaving through traffic and taunting drivers.

The victim reportedly honked his horn at the youths, sparking the ensuing confrontation and mob assault.

“Central Division is aware of a shocking video involving a fight between a group of people on bicycles and an individual in a pick up truck. To date, no one has reported this incident to the police. We are asking the victims to come forward and contact Central Station,” LAPD wrote on social media on Saturday.

It is unclear if any suspects have been identified or apprehended at the time of this writing.
