The McProblem with the Republican Party

Radio host Steve Gruber made a witty and accurate observation on Monday’s radio show when he said that we have a McProblem.

That is the current leadership of the Republican Party – Mitch McConnell, Kevin McCarthy and GOP leader Ronna McDaniel.

Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz has a similar opinion, calling all three a “McFailure.”

They are ineffective in their jobs and need to go – but it looks like that isn’t going to happen anytime soon. Even though “The Red Wave” didn’t not materialize under their failed leadership, it looks like they are going to get participation medals anyway and we are going to get screwed once again because we don’t have the power to get rid of them.

The Republicans in the senate plan to have their leadership election today.

Ted Cruz wants a delay in choosing the GOP senate leadership until after the Georgia election in December between Republican Herschel Walker and Democrat Raphael Warnock. He said, “It makes no sense for Senate to have leadership elections before the GA runoff. We don’t yet know whether we’ll have a majority and Walker deserves a say in our leadership. Critically, we need to hear a specific plan for the next two years from any candidate for leadership.”

Florida Senator Marco Rubio and Missouri Senator Josh Hawley have also called for a delay in the vote – and Florida Senator Rick Scott, along with Utah Senator Mike Lee and Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson had circulated a letter about delaying the vote. Hawley said, “The old party is dead. Time to bury it. Build something new.”

RINO Mitt Romney said about the delay, “”We didn’t delay the leadership election two years ago when there was a runoff for actually two Republican senators in Georgia, so there’s no reason to delay now.”

Is Biden the ultimate embarrassment to our country?

McConnell has told CNN that he has the votes to remain the Senate GOP leader so unfortunately, it looks like we’re stuck with the same octogenarian party leadership in the senate.

And the House GOP moved ahead with their vote of Kevin McCarthy as the party’s nominee for Speaker of the House on Tuesday, with McCarthy winning 188 votes while his challenger Andy Biggs only got 31.

Meanwhile, Ronna McDaniel says she’ll seek re-election as the RNC chair. Of course she is. But if Republican VOTERS had their way, I’m sure all three “leaders” would be gone.

If you have a losing football team, why would you want to keep the same crappy management around for another season or two?
