A co-host on “The View” asked Tuesday if she could celebrate Republican Kari Lake’s projected defeat in the Arizona gubernatorial race.

“Can I just dance on Kari Lake’s grave for a moment?” Ana Navarro, a one-time Republican strategist and CNN contributor, asked before playing a clip of Lake.

“It turns out that when you say in Arizona to McCain Republicans, a man who was a decorated war hero, prisoner of war, served that state honorably for 30 years, to get the hell out ,they do and that’s why you lost,” Navarro said.

Lake trails Democratic Secretary of State Katie Hobbs 50.37% to 49.63%, with 95% of the votes counted in the gubernatorial election, according to the New York Times.

Arizona’s election was disrupted by malfunctions of tabulation machines at nearly one-fifth of voting centers during the Nov. 8 election, prompting an apology from local officials. A Republican lawsuit to extend voting hours was dismissed by a Maricopa County judge.

“This is incompetency. I hope it’s not malice,” Lake said about the malfunctions on Nov. 8. “But we are going to fix it, we are going to win and when we win there’s going to be a ‘come to Jesus’ for elections in Arizona. There’s going to be a ‘come to Jesus.’”

Lake questioned the results of the election in the wake of media outlets calling the race for Hobbs.
