Biden isn’t pro-life, but he doesn’t want to give voters a choice either
In the midst of the leaked draft of the Supreme Court’s opinion on the overturn of Roe v. Wade, President Joe Biden issued a statement on Tuesday regarding his opinions on the matter. “Roe says that all basic mainstream religions have historically included that the existence of a human life and being is a question,” he says, “We’re going to make a judgment that is going to say that no one can make the judgment to choose to abort a child.”
Leading up to the 2020 presidential election, pro-abortion groups were spending tens of millions in support of Biden, who was previously known for his pro-life stance. This is nearly six times as much as pro-life groups were spending at the time. If Biden follows through with his announcement to breach voters’ rights, he would undermine the structure of our Constitution and would further the treachery of overreaching powers.
It is time to return the issue of abortion back to the states
Assertions and argument points sometimes speak for themselves, such as Joe Biden’s further statement, “Letting states and localities make decisions [about abortion laws] would be a fundamental shift in what we’ve done.” This fundamental and necessary shift to our Democracy can potentially localize the power back to the state level, which indicates a heed to our Constitution’s tenth Amendment.
