Trump-Appointed Judge Hits United Airlines With Restraining Order Over Vax Mandate

United Airlines has issued a temporary restraining order by Federal Judge Mark T. Pittman due to its vaccine mandate.

The order, which could be the first of its kind in the country, prevents the airline from putting employees on unpaid leave because of religious or medical exemptions until October 26.

United Airlines has been temporarily barred from requiring employees to take a vaccine or face being placed on unpaid leave by a federal judge.

The temporary restraining order is necessary, according to the court, to prevent irreparable harm to the parties.

On October 13, 2021, at 9:30 a.m., an evidentiary hearing will be held.
