After shredding and burning hundreds of voter registration applications, two election officials were dismissed.
The Georgia Secretary of State has requested an investigation by the federal government.
Fulton County encompasses the majority of Atlanta, where voters will head to the polls on November 2.
According to Georgia Secretary of State Brian Raffensperger, Fulton County was spotted shredding 300 local election applications.
Election authorities are required by state law to save records pertaining to primary and general elections for 24 months following the election.
