Following an order given earlier this month by US Attorney General Merrick Garland, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis stated Wednesday that he will not comply with any federal authorities investigating parental behavior at school board meetings.
The Republican governor slammed the Department of Justice’s effort as an attempt to “squelch dissent” by focusing on parents who have been increasingly attending school board meetings across the country to express their dissatisfaction with various aspects of the curriculum, including critical race theory, transgender issues, and inappropriate sexual materials in books.
