In an email to supporters, the 45th President of the United States tore into Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, but in his rant was a clue.

“Next time I’m in the White House there will be no more dinners, at his request, with Mark Zuckerberg and his wife. It will be all business!” he said.

Presumably he was not referring to the next time he takes the family on vacation to Washington D.C. and visits The White House.

If his plans for 2024 were not apparent before they should be now. One does not say “next time I’m in the White House” because they do not plan on campaigning for president.

The email came hours after Facebook announced that Trump would be banned from its platform for a minimum of two years, which covers the 2022 midterm elections.

The announcement came on Friday when Facebook’s vice president of global affairs Nick Clegg issued a blog post announcing a minimum two-year ban for Trump, Politico reported.

“Given the gravity of the circumstances that led to Mr. Trump’s suspension, we believe his actions constituted a severe violation of our rules which merit the highest penalty available under the new enforcement protocols,” he said. “We are suspending his accounts for two years, effective from the date of the initial suspension on January 7 this year.”

“We are suspending his accounts for two years, effective from the date of the initial suspension on January 7 this year,” it said.

“We are today announcing new enforcement protocols to be applied in exceptional cases such as this, and we are confirming the time-bound penalty consistent with those protocols which we are applying to Mr. Trump’s accounts,” it said.

But even when Trump comes back the company has announced that he will have to live by special rules made for him., which is significant because it means the ban is not permanent.

“When the suspension is eventually lifted, there will be a strict set of rapidly escalating sanctions that will be triggered if Mr. Trump commits further violations in future, up to and including permanent removal of his pages and accounts,” it said.

“In establishing the two-year sanction for severe violations, we considered the need for it to be long enough to allow a safe period of time after the acts of incitement, to be significant enough to be a deterrent to Mr. Trump and others from committing such severe violations in future, and to be proportionate to the gravity of the violation itself,” it said.

And it comes after Trump shut his own blog in, what many believe, is in anticipation of his creation of his own social media website.

The news came on Wednesday when visitors to his “From the Desk of Donald J. Trump” blog were greeted with a page to join his email and text alerts, CNBC reported.

It “will not be returning,” his senior aide Jason Miller, said.

“It was just auxiliary to the broader efforts we have and are working on,” he said. “Hoping to have more information on the broader efforts soon, but I do not have a precise awareness of timing.”

Trump has been banned from Facebook and Twitter and has hinted at starting a new social media website.

When “From The Desk Of” started, Miller said it was not the new social media site and that there would be more information on that coming at another time.

“President Trump’s website is a great resource to find his latest statements and highlights from his first term in office, but this is not a new social media platform. We’ll have additional information coming on that front in the very near future,” he said on Twitter.
