Rush Limbaugh – A Legend – Dead at 70
It is with great sorrow and mourning that New Right Network must report that legendary radio show host and conservative news commentator Rush Limbaugh has lost his battle with cancer. His family announced that Limbaugh had passed after a battle with lung cancer early Wednesday morning on February 17, 2021. The announcement was made by his wife, Kathryn, on his radio show.
Kathryn said “Losing a loved one is terribly difficult, even more so when that loved one is larger than life,” she said. “Rush will forever be the greatest of all time.” Her words rang true in the hearts of thousands of patriots across America. Limbaugh was an icon in his industry and a pioneer in the reshaping of the Republican Party. Rush Limbaugh is considered one of the most influential media figures in American history and will be remembered dearly by those who supported him.
A Legacy Worth Remembering
Limbaugh was a force to be reckoned with. He had strong beliefs and used his platform to fiercely defend those beliefs. Limbaugh held on to patriotism and believed in American Exceptionalism. He had a strong moral compass and an unwavering dedication to standing up for what he believed was right. Because of this, he was loved deeply by many and feared by those on the opposing end of his commentary.
“The Rush Limbaugh Show” began in 1988 and continued for three decades. His show grew to be one of the most listened to radio shows in the country, streaming to over 600 stations with national syndication. Limbaugh learned that he had stage IV lung cancer in January 2020 and continued to host his show until his final broadcast in December of 2020. Limbaugh held on to his dedication to do his part in fighting for this country until the end. He is and will remain, a hero in the eyes of many.
Limbaugh Inspired the Nation
In the fierce battle for the presidency in 2020, Limbaugh used his massive platform to fight side by side with patriotic Americans. A friend and supporter of President Trump, Limbaugh assisted in aiding Trump in 2016 by taking him seriously as a candidate and providing honest, sometimes brutally honest, coverage of then-candidate Trump. His coverage of President Trump’s presidency and the battle for reelection remained true to Limbaugh’s dedication to truth. He was supportive, passionate, and honest with his coverage, at times airing his disagreement with the President.
His approach inspired many of his listeners to step back and think about things they may not have before. He even held an un-precedented two-hour “radio-rally” for President Trump in the midst of the Covid Pandemic when a traditional rally was not possible. Limbaugh believed in “American Exceptionalism” and ensured that his actions reflected that. Limbaugh is survived by his wife but will be missed by millions. He may be gone, but he will never be forgotten.
