Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ plane he sent to Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, is heading to an area of Delaware near President Joe Biden’s home, according to a flight tracker.
The flight with the designation of J328 originated in San Antonio, Texas, and will land in Crestview Bob Sikes Airport before departing after about an hour to Georgetown Delaware Coastal Airport, according to Flightradar24. The airport is less than 20 miles from Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, where Biden’s home is located, according to Google Maps.
The plane is scheduled to depart Delaware Coastal Airport for Teterboro Airport in New Jersey, later Tuesday.
It’s unclear whether the plane contains illegal migrants.
DeSantis sent two flights of illegal migrants on Wednesday from Texas to Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts. The effort sparked outrage from many, including locals on the island that said they couldn’t meet the need of the group before they were transported by the state to Joint Base Cape Cod after around one day.
The earlier flights also stopped in Florida before landing in Martha’s Vineyard, according to Flightradar24.
The transports also sparked accusations of “kidnapping” and civil rights violations, which included a letter Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom sent to Attorney General Merrick Garland, pressuring him to conduct an investigation.
The Florida governor’s office responded to the claims Monday, telling reporters on a background call that the illegal migrants volunteered to board the planes.
DeSantis’ office didn’t respond to the DCNF’s request for comment.
