Students at Northwestern University are hosting a speaker this weekend that accused Israelis of eating the organs of Palestinians, according to a post on Instagram.
Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) at Northwestern University announced last week that they were hosting an event, sponsored by several university departments, with Palestinian activist Mohammed El-Kurd on April 29, according to the chapter’s Instagram post. El-Kurd has been criticized for his comments about Israel and Jews, and on one occasion wrote a poem in which he said argued that Israelis ate the bodies of Palestinians.
“They harvest organs of the martyred, feed their warriors our own,” the poem read, according to The Intercept.
SJP nevertheless expressed enthusiasm at El-Kurd’s presence.
“We are honored to present an evening with Mohammed El-Kurd in collaboration with MENASA, NUCHR, McSA, and the MENA studies program,” the Northwestern University chapter’s post read. “Join us next Saturday evening to hear from Mohammed El-Kurd and how we can move beyond respectability politics to reach liberation!”
El-Kurd has also called Zionism a “death cult,” “genocidal,” and “sadistic,” compared Israeli settlers in the West Bank and Gaza to the Nazis during the Holocaust, and said that Israelis have “an unquenchable thirst for Palestinian blood,” according to several posts on his Twitter account.
I don’t care who this offends they have completely internalized the ways of the nazis.

In a May 12, 2021 tweet, El-Kurd called out a Jewish person, who was discussing the reality of Jewish life, for “having the nerve to make Holocaust analogies.”

El-Kurd spoke at several colleges, including Princeton and the University of Michigan, causing a significant amount of controversy. In October 2022, El-Kurd spoke at Harvard University, where he was asked by a Jewish student to condemn Palestinian terrorism but he reportedly refused according to students that spoke with the Daily Caller News Foundation.
El-Kurd, NUSJP and Northwestern did not immediately respond to the DCNF’s request for comment.
