Protestors are again gathering outside the homes of Supreme Court Justices to voice their frustrations over the court’s abortion ruling last summer, a video posted by a Washington, D.C. activist group shows.

Our Rights DC, one of the groups responsible for organizing protests outside of conservative justices’ homes following the leak of the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision last summer, posted a video on its Instagram account showing new protests outside of Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s and Chief Justice John Roberts’ homes Thursday night. “One, two, three, four, we want ethics on the Court!” the protestors chanted.

“Quick trip to Kavanaugh & Robert’s neighborhood tonight,” the caption stated.

“Our rights are not up for debate!” protestors yelled.

Federal law makes it illegal to picket or parade near a justices’ home “with the intent of influencing any judge.” Training materials given to U.S. Marshals, which were obtained by Republican Alabama Sen. Katie Britt, revealed in late March that Marshals had been told last summer that they were not to bring criminal enforcement against protestors “unless absolutely necessary” and noted that making arrests is “not the goal.”

Attorney General Merrick Garland previously said Marshals were told they had “full authority” to make arrests under any federal statute. During the hearing, he told Britt he had “never” seen the training material instructing Marshals to do otherwise.

“This is a criminal threat to the safety of Supreme Court justices,” Republican Utah Sen. Mike Lee tweeted Friday morning. “Why are U.S. Marshals being instructed not to make arrests?”

House Judiciary Committee Chair Republican Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan launched an investigation into the material revealed by Britt on Wednesday, requesting additional information from U.S. Marshals Service Director Ronald Davis.

Thursday night’s protests come after Senate Judiciary Committee Democrats’ Tuesday hearing on Supreme Court ethics and a rush of media reports accusing conservative justices, primarily Justice Clarence Thomas, of neglecting ethics rules. Republican senators accused Democrats at the hearing of seeking to “destroy the legitimacy” of the Court, highlighting last summer’s protests, which included an attempt to assassinate Kavanaugh.

There also appear to be plans for more protests next week, according to a retweet by Ruth Sent Us, another group at the forefront of last summer’s protests that aims to “to expose our corrupt and illegitimate Supreme Court.”

“Nadine is a fiercely independent and dedicated protestor who has been at pretty much every protest at SCOTUS and outside Ginni & Clarence Thomas’ home in recent years,” Ty Webb wrote on Twitter. “Her birthday is May 11, next Thursday, and she plans to be at the Thomases in Fairfax Station, VA, making some noise, 6pm onwards.”

Nadine Seiler frequently protested outside of justices’ homes last summer. “Keep your religion off my vagina!” she yelled outside Kavanaugh’s home last May, according to the Washington Post.

Ruth Sent Us replied to the tweet, asking other commenters questions like, “Know any musicians who might join us?” and “Can you join us?”
