The former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich spoke out on Wednesday night to warn that he believes Joe Biden’s Attorney General Merrick Garland will indict the former President Donald Trump.
Gingrich told Fox News that he thinks Trump will be indicted for mishandling classified documents at his Florida home after he left the White House, adding that this is the “most corrupt Justice Department in all of American history.”
“You have corruption from the Attorney General, to the head of the FBI, to senior elements of the FBI,” Gingrich said. “You have collusion from a wide range of the intelligence community. You had, I think it was 50 some intelligence senior officials who signed a letter last year that we now know is a total lie, none of whom have recanted.”
“I fully expect the Justice Department to indict President Trump in a DC court, a district where he got 5.6 percent of the vote,” he added. “So by 19 to one, the jury is likely to be against him.”
Gingrich went on to say that it’s impossible to know what will happen in the future, given how corrupt the current government is.
“I have no idea what’s going to happen next,” he explained. “I’m a historian by training and I tell everybody you have to assume that nothing, you know, tells you anything about how corrupt and how sick this is going to get.”
“Because you get have fanatic who represent a secular religion who are determined to destroy not just Trump but Trump’s followers,” Gingrich continued. “They could do almost anything. We have no way of knowing what the next six months or two years are going to bring.”

Host Pete Hegseth pointed out that hours before, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre had said that President Biden believes “MAGA Republicans are the most energized part of the Republican Party — this is an extreme threat to our democracy.”
Gingrich replied by saying that her comments reminded him of when during President Woodrow Wilson’s time in office, then-Attorney General Alexander Mitchell Palmer oversaw raids of alleged Communist Americans during the “Red Scare” of 1919.
“[T]hey locked up a lot of people, including the former Socialist Party candidate for president. But it was a very brief period. What you see now is an institutional commitment that runs from places like Harvard and Princeton and Yale to The New York Times and The Washington Post and the major networks, to the deep state, to the intelligence community, the FBI, the Justice Department and all of these systems are now basically at war with the American people,” Gingrich said.
Not stopping there, Gingrich proceeded to blast Biden for claiming that he wants unity, only to claim that the 73 million Americans who voted for Trump as “semi-fascists.”
“To have a president and states characterize half of his country in the way that Joe Biden does is the greatest act of aggression by an American president against his own people that we’ve ever seen,” he said.
Gingrich concluded by saying that a lot of the animosity from Biden and his fellow Democrat stems from their fears that Republicans will take back Congress in November.
