Bus of Migrants Arrives Near US Capitol Building

Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott recently declared his new strategy for countering Joe Biden’s lenient immigration policy would involve busing migrants to the nation’s capitol.

Abbott said last week that the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) will transport migrants freed from federal detention in Texas to the nation’s capital and other destinations outside his state.

The White House dismissed Abbott’s plan as a “publicity stunt,” but Abbott proved you don’t mess with Texas when the first bus of migrants arrived in DC this week.

The Plan is Already Working

According to the TDEM, the plan is already working – the federal government has already stopped dropping migrants off in communities that reached out to the agency for support.
