‘A Sign Of Disrespect’

According to a new book, Kamala Harris took offense when Joe Biden’s staff failed to stand up whenever she entered a room.

Politico obtained passages from a new book titled “This Will Not Pass: Trump, Biden, and the Battle for America’s Future,” which documented many incidents that had allegedly enraged Harris.

“Some of Harris’s advisers believed the president’s almost entirely white inner circle did not show the vice president the respect she deserved. Harris worried that Biden’s staff looked down on her; she fixated on real and perceived snubs in ways the West Wing found tedious,” according to reports.

Harris was also mad about the photo chosen to appear on the cover of Vogue Magazine in January 2021. In the photo, she was wearing Converse sneakers; though she commonly wore them on the campaign trail, she thought the photo “belittled” her.

The book offers glimpses into the allegedly tense relationships between the West Wing and the Vice President’s office. It also claims Jill Biden questioned her husband’s choice of running mate.
