Biden Transition Team Member Gets Lucrative No-Bid Contract
Remember when the Obama administration launched the health insurance website for the disaster that was, and still is, Obamacare? Michelle Obama’s college friend happened to get the $93 million no-bid contract to launch the fatally flawed website. Now, the Biden administration has offered a no-bid contract worth about $530 million to a Texas non-profit that hired a Biden transition official, Andrew Lorenzen-Strait, to assist with the influx of migrant children who are crossing the southern border in Texas. The latest data available shows that over 21,000 unaccompanied minors who crossed the border are now in government custody.
Strait was appointed to the non-profit, Endeavors, immediately following his role during the transition. According to the Daily Mail, Strait was hired to serve in the role of Senior Director for Migrant Services and Federal Affairs and is a former Immigration and Customs Enforcement official, having advised the Biden transition team on Homeland Security policy.
Although Vice-President Kamala Harris has been given the role of “border czar”, she has not been active in that role to address the border surge. Former Homeland Security officials have stated that they’re happy she’s not taking an active role at the border. As reported by The Daily Mail, the former Customs and Border protection commissioner Mark Morgan, during a discussion at a Heritage Foundation panel that, “I think if she does do what she should do as the anointed border czar, she’s just going to make the crisis even worse.”
Endeavors, based in San Antonio, Texas, is a faith-based organization that has been working to address the issues related to the influx of families and unaccompanied minors at the southern U.S. border. San Antonio has been one of the cities that has borne the brunt of the responsibility for processing the minors. Complaints of abuse have arisen regarding the treatment and care of the minors as they were processed through the Freeman Coliseum, a venue in San Antonio that has been used as the location for the San Antonio Rodeo and college graduations.
A Path to Citizenship
However, one should look at the path to citizenship that is being laid out for the unaccompanied minors. Once they are placed within the Foster Care system, they are fast-tracked to gaining citizenship. Most often, the children have been trafficked into the country. As some foster parents in California have stated after being asked to take in unaccompanied minors, they don’t want to deny them care. Nevertheless, they are taking the placements that would be allocated to American children. Furthermore, the U.S taxpayer is subsidizing the human trafficking industry.
Sharla Kall, a foster parent in California stated in an interview ““If you’re going to have the American people and their tax dollars supporting these children, then we deserve to know the plan. We deserve to know, are you throwing them into this special immigration status? Is that your goal?” Sharla’s husband, Travis Kall, noted that they their goals were to fight human trafficking. Now he sees that the very system they have supported is using taxpayer-funded dollars to support that trafficking.
Biden’s Racial Discrimination in Aid to the American Public
The overburdened tax-paying public should question why when, in a time when Covid-19 restrictions has placed such a great financial burden on the American people, that they are expected to also shoulder the burden of the influx of undocumented aliens. Not all responsible American taxpayers are being supported by the new Biden-Harris administration to receive help to rise out of the devastating financial slump caused by Covid-19 business closures. Discrimination against many non-minority Americans is occurring. Biden is enacting many racially discriminatory aid programs to assist with Covid-19 relief. It’s time now to ask why!
