Tulsi: The Firestorm
Tulsi Gabbard, the Congresswoman from Hawaii, announced that she is dropping out of the Presidential race for 2020 for the Democratic Party. The firestorm surrounding this woman has come to an end; unfortunate, as many have found her more than likeable and more agreeable than some of the candidates out there. She is very anti-war and as a veteran understands first hand some of the useless conflicts that America became embroiled in.
Make no mistake, she leans left of center with her ideas about the gay community, abortion, and net neutrality. The refreshing thing about her was she also stood up against Hillary Clinton along with her opponents, like Kamala Harris. It was Tulsi who let the public know of Harris’ record of black people put in jail as a prosecutor back in the day. Many thought of Gabbard is a breath of fresh air as she stood against many of the establishment candidates.
With Tulsi out of the race, this has truly become the party of rich old white guys. It appears that she has also followed suit with putting her endorsement with Joe Biden. Clearly no one wants to line up with and endorse a socialist like Bernie. It is surprising that she is out considering many have suggested she is a strong runner in the race due to her clapping back at Clinton and even Harris. Now it seems that she’s following suit with Mayor Pete and Lieawatha herself.
