Deeper Than Anyone Could Have Imagined!

President Donald Trump said in his speech during a rally in New Hampshire that the swamp is much worse than he had thought. I wonder how many people, while watching the impeachment hearings, were outraged with our government. It is filled with career employees not subject to the will of the voting American public, yet they carry on in their positions with the intent to destroy the president and his policies from within. Just how deep does this swamp go?

NSC should be “quarantined across the Potomac”

Certainly, President Trump has taken much needed steps to drain the never ending swamp by removing 70 positions from his National Security Council. The Obama Administration appointed a great percentage of them. They were and continue to act in lockstep with the globalist agenda. Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) even recommended it would be better if President Trump took those advisors and sent them across the Potomac and quarantined them. Not a bad idea since most of the leaks coming out of the White House have been their doing. 

Trump, Commander in Chief!

Among those escorted out of the White House was Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, who was shipped back to the Pentagon. One must ask why Vindman wasn’t relieved of his duties and sent packing out of the military. After all, the Ukraine offered him a position in their government as defense minister. The idea that the job offer was only a joke seems questionable. Do we really want people like that at the Pentagon? He doesn’t seem to be any more of a patriot than Bowe Bergdahl

There were protests by many who defended Vindman; Maria Yovanovich, the former US Ambassador to the Ukraine; and Gordon Sondland, the now former US Ambassador to the European Union. Some glorified Vindman for his military service, something about which he boasted during the impeachment hearings. Unfortunately, Vindman forgot the President of the United States, Donald Trump, is also the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces. That makes President Trump Vindman’s commander. According to the US Constitution, Article II, Section 2, “The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States.” Vindman, therefore, was being insubordinate to his Commander in Chief. If not treasonous, his actions are certainly something worthy of a loss of position of trust. We should also be concerned with Vindman serving at the Pentagon!

Replacing the Holdovers

Since President Trump began his term in office, Obama holdovers have been operating behind the scenes in every department. A 2017 New York Times article mentioned the difficulties of keeping these entrenched holdovers as their loyalty to President Trump was in doubt. One can certainly see such concern was valid looking those within the State Department, FBI, CIA, NSA, and the Department of Justice. Career employees also fill the National Security Council. It is becoming clear they owe allegiance to a former president and, through him, a foreign government-like idealism known as globalism. 

Replacing every deeply entrenched career government employee is certainly a time consuming task. An important question to ask, though, is how it is so many of these employees have strayed so far from the constitutional roadmap and plan. A follow up is what does it mean that so many of these same people are scrambling to attack the president who is attempting to clean up the ranks. 

We might begin by asking how many have received payments from foreign governments. Officials who did could have a misplaced loyalty to the foreign governments that have been, in no uncertain terms, their bosses. The list would have to begin with the Bidens who profited from the position of the elder and former vice president, Joe Biden. Every one of the deep state career employees appears to be compromised in some way.

Dirty Money! Where’s the Enforcement?

One should ask just how much dirty Ukrainian money is in the pockets of politicians and government employees. Just how many other countries, such as China and Saudi Arabia, have bought politicians and officials? Or Soros. Think Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA). Dan Froomkin in his Huffington Post article wrote “Federal election law forbids political candidates from knowingly soliciting, accepting or receiving donations from foreign nationals or foreign entities under any circumstances.” He goes on to note no one is even questioning these dealings! Where are the investigations?

As reported by Sean Davis of the Federalist, Hillary and Bill Clinton’s foundation accepted money from no less than seven foreign governments! All while she was Secretary of State. The constitution prohibits these cash payments! Known as the Emoluments Clause, it springs from Article VI in the “Articles of the Confederation.” This is a ban on payments to all US officials! Not only elected politicians. Those within this swamp implicated and the complicit won’t call for an investigation

Unclogged Swamp Drain

President Trump has not yet thoroughly drained the swamp, but he has made significant progress in exposing that which the American people have been blinded to for too long. The web of deceit was almost fully woven, numbing us to the takeover and destruction of the United States as we have known it. Blinders removed, we now face a long, arduous task of rooting out officials that cling to any unconstitutional precepts. The task is at hand!
