Defining Nationalism for Dummies
According to Wikipedia, the definition of nationalism is “an ideology and movement characterized by the promotion of the interests of a particular nation, especially with the aim of gaining and maintaining the nation’s sovereignty (self-governance) over its homeland.
What it should mean is a love of our shared culture and history.
“Nationalism holds that each nation should govern itself, free from outside interference, that a nation is a natural and ideal basis for a polity (an identifiable political entity), and that the nation is the only rightful source of political power. It further aims to build and maintain a single national identity—based on shared social characteristics such as culture, language, religion, politics, and belief in a shared singular history and to promote national unity or solidarity.
“Nationalism, therefore, seeks to preserve and foster a nation’s traditional culture, and cultural revivals have been associated with nationalist movements. It also encourages pride in national achievements, and is closely linked to patriotism.” Being a patriot is a great thing. Love of one’s country is what makes this country, America, the best.
Home of the Free and the Brave
When situations look dire we come together and are brave. We fight in solidarity so we can keep our freedoms and way of life. In order to help other nations we need to be in a place of strength ourselves. If we ruin this country by dismantling our Constitution, where will everyone go to seek safety when they desperately need it? There will be no place left to go to.
The Mainstream Media cares more about winning they they care about the fate of the nation. They use the narrative of Trump’s racism as a ploy to remove him. The left is twisting history and projecting their racism onto supporters of the President to push their own agenda. They are attempting to make Trump supporters into things they aren’t. This greatly clouds the real issues at hand.
Democrats and leftist journalists are ignoring the fact that the Dayton shooter was an avowed progressive Socialist who supported far-left Senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren. You won’t hear that on CNN, or anyone screaming at the Senators for instilling violence. With that being blatantly left out, now we have the entire left side mob and MSM attacking President Trump, blaming him for the most recent mass shootings in Ohio and Texas.
What Racist Rhetoric?
President Trump’s tweeting does not encourage violence. He encourages unity, not racism. Why would any supporters of the President want to shoot anyone ever, but especially right now? We are winning!
We have a winning economy, winning employment, and a booming stock market. We are also winning on things like prison reform and building the wall. Just the other day a NY Judge dismissed the DNC lawsuit against the Trump campaign, Russia, and WikiLeaks over hacking! You will definitely not hear that in the mainstream media. These are huge losses for the left mob.
Will the Real Triggered Snowflake Please Stand Up?
Politically correct figures are upset that our ideology is proving superior. They are livid and fired up with hatred. The proof is the words of some celebrities like John Legend who call the President wretched adjectives with zero respect for the position of his office.
The United States was founded as a Judeo-Christian nation which is based on commonalities and shared values between the two religions. A connection of morals linked together, sourced from the Holy Bible to help create love and peace inside the people of this nation. Jesus Christ’s ‘Golden Rule’ is “do unto others as you would want them to do unto you.”
The Seeds of Faith and Quality of Character
America was founded on a strong set of principles. These are in turn derived from Judeo-Christian Values and Western Philosophy. Equality, brotherhood and freedom are all at the heart of our country. Nationalism has meant many things to many people but what it should mean is a love of our shared culture and history. If we put aside what the MSM tells us about America and look at what it actually represents, we will see our nation is worth cherishing. We will see that our principles are worth nurturing.
