Dear AOC: Thank you, Next!

Expect Infighting in the Democrat Party to get more intense as the Left and the radical Left jockey for position in U.S. House primary elections.

The Far-Left is Now Coming After Democrats

The radical organization that helped bring Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) to Congress has a new candidate in 2020. Justice Democrats has announced that it will back Jamaal Bowman’s primary challenge to longtime U.S. Representative Eliot Engel.

The progressive group that facilitated other challenges to incumbent Democrats and helped elect Reps. Ayanna Pressley and AOC is backing Bowman, a middle school principal and former Bronx teacher in his campaign against Engel in New York’s 16th Congressional District.

Despite his liberal legacy, Engel apparently is insufficiently progressive or Socialist enough to satisfy the Justice Democrats. The group is also mounting similar Democrat vs. Democrat challenges around the country. Bowman officially launched his campaign in a video released Tuesday morning.

It’s time to get more pro-Trump lawmakers on board and take back control of the House.

AOC’s Fading Popularity

According to a recent poll, socialist AOC is very unpopular within her own district in New York, the 14th Congressional District which includes parts of the Bronx and Queens. Polling data indicates that only 21% of district residents have a favorable opinion of her. Plus, only 13% would vote for her next time around.

Enough about the Democrat radicals. Lets refocus our conversation instead on Bronx Republican Ruth Papazian who says she plans to run against AOC over the collapse of the Amazon deal, the New York Post reports. A lifelong resident of the borough, Papasian intends to position herself as a pro-jobs candidate. It’s going to be an uphill climb the deep blue district, however.

MAGA Candidates Front and Center

That notwithstanding, it’s high time to get more pro-Trump lawmakers on board and take back control of the the House of Representatives by focusing on the American people and local communities. This includes encouraging voters to choose work and education over handouts. This also requires a refocus on growing our country’s economy rather than supporting other nations through globalism and giving away our resources to illegal aliens.

“[AOC] chose ideology over paychecks,” medical journalist Papazian, 61, told the Post. “People need jobs. We don’t have economic diversity in the outer boroughs.”

A Pro-Jobs Candidate For New York City

New York GOP officials have encouraged Ruth Papazian to challenge social media star AOC, even with the long odds. Papazian, whose parents immigrated from Egypt, said as noted above that she would run on a job-creation platform, rather than policies discouraging employment expansion. She also described the so-called Green New Deal as a job killer.

Papasian insisted that the Amazon fiasco, in which the retail giant cancelled plans to locate a second headquarters in the area, is an example of Ocasio-Cortez possibly even being too much of a far-Left obstructionist for her district’s constituents. Papasian added that “There are Albanian immigrants in my community who’ve lived under socialism and communism, and they want no part of it,” the Post noted.

I think Papazian has a decent chance of winning, and it’s due time for the electorate to say to AOC: Thank you, Next.
